As part of the Piano Festival Bayreuth, acclaimed pianist Kit Armstrong (hailed by The New York Times as “brilliant” and celebrated for his rare blend of “musical maturity and youthful daring”) performs at the UNESCO-listed Margravial Opera House, a Baroque masterpiece built between 1745 and 1750.
In this recital, Kit Armstrong presents a program that spans Romantic and Classical repertoire, including Wagner’s Piano Sonata in A-flat major, Liszt’s Sonata in B minor and selections from his lyrical album Years of Pilgrimage, alongside Mozart’s Fantasy in C minor and Suite in C major. The program also features a Liszt transcription of Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus.
