Five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo, named by TIME magazine as "Africa’s premier diva", graced the Royal Albert Hall on 17 November 2023 to spectacularly kick off her highly anticipated 2023 - 2024 world tour. The high-energy performance was a celebration of Kidjo’s unbelievable 40-year career. It featured special guests, including Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour, Afropop pioneer Stonebwoy, and the UK’s very own Laura Mvula.
The performance, available to stream now in cinematic quality, was accompanied by the Chineke! Orchestra and conducted by Chris Cameron, for an extravaganza of astounding vocals, unmatched musicality and electric performances. Kidjo promises a night to remember – she is known worldwide for merging the West African traditions of her childhood with American R&B, funk and jazz, alongside influences from Europe and Latin America.

She has collaborated with many artists including Burna Boy, Sting, John Legend, Peter Gabriel and Bono.
