Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall is a seated concert venue on the northern edge of South Kensington (London). Since Queen Victoria opened the hall in 1871, it has hosted a selection of world-renowned artists, orchestras, and music events, including the BBC Proms, which have been held there every summer since 1941.

The main auditorium is home to more than 390 shows annually, including classical, rock, and pop concerts, ballet, opera, film screenings with live orchestral features, awards ceremonies, and more. A further 400 events take place in the non-auditorium spaces.

Throughout its history, the Royal Albert Hall has welcomed people from various fields, such as meetings held by suffragettes, speeches from Winston Churchill and Albert Einstein, fights by Lennox Lewis, exhibitions by Muhammad Ali, and performances from icons Eric Clapton, Shirley Bassey, YOSHIKI, and Angélique Kidjo (to name a few).
