It’s peak nomination season, and On Air has officially earned Webby Honoree status in the 28th Annual Webby Awards! Our cinematic live concert streams in 4K UHD with Dolby Technologies have been selected for an Honoree award under the Websites & Mobile Sites – Entertainment category, with special recognition of our incredible team’s hard work.

Powered and presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), we were hand-picked by world-renowned creatives, artists, organisers, entertainers, leaders, and innovators, including Marian Croak, VP of Engineering at Google; Sarah Harden, CEO at Hello Sunshine; Yann LeCun, VP & Chief AI Scientist at Meta; Todd Kaplan, Chief Marketing Officer at Pepsi Co; Ashley Murphy, VP Global Consumer Marketing at Rare Beauty; Questlove, DJ and Producer; Jim Habig, Vice President Marketing at LinkedIn, and more.

It’s no secret that the internet is a broad, creative place; The Webby Awards simply drive and highlight the very best of it, which is a fantastic achievement for On Air. Here’s a brief round-up about the awards:

About the Webby Awards

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards is a world-leading organisation that recognises excellence on the internet, such as Websites & Mobile Sites, Video, Media & PR, Apps & Software, Social, Podcast, Games & AI, and Metaverse & Virtual.

The Webby Awards emerged in 1996, at the time when people started to experience the then-mysterious online scene. Fast forward to 2024, the organisation received a whopping 13,000 entries from innovative companies in over 70 countries worldwide. They continue to be presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, who also participate in the selection process.

Why are Webby Awards a huge deal?

Remember those entries we mentioned earlier? Well, earning the name as Webby Honoree and catching the attention of world-leading experts (including thinkers at Google, Pepsi Co, Rare Beauty, Duolingo, Meta, and LinkedIn) was only granted to the top 25% of all work entered in the 28th Annual Webby Awards.
