Henrike Sandner is a German opera and theatre director. A graduate of the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin and the Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich, Sandner has built a reputation for reimagining classical works.  

She has worked at major houses including the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theater an der Wien, and Oper Frankfurt, often collaborating with leading conductors and contemporary designers. Whether tackling canonical repertoire or contemporary opera, her approach emphasizes psychological depth, clarity of storytelling, and bold visual concepts.  

Sandner’s work is particularly noted for its ability to bridge tradition with modern tones, making opera accessible for today’s audiences.
