OVO Arena Wembley

The OVO Arena Wembley (London) started as the Empire Pool, built in 1934 as a sporting venue for the 1948 Olympics, the Wembley Professional Tennis Championships and indoor cycling competitions.

These days, the Arena is managed by ASM Global - the leading provider of innovative venue services and live experience - continuing to host over 100 shows a year, from A-list concerts to popular comedy, welcoming around one million fans yearly.

To date, Tina Turner remains the leading female artist who played the most shows at OVO, and Sir Cliff Richard is the male artist to take the same title. Status Quo holds the record for a rock band with 45 performances, and American pop superstar Prince also played 35 concerts between 1986–1998.
