About Wynonna Judd
Wynonna Judd (born Christina Claire Ciminella, 1964) is a Grammy-winning American country music singer and songwriter. She first rose to fame in the 1980s as one half of The Judds, the mother-daughter duo with her late mother, Naomi Judd. Together, they earned five Grammy Awards, nine Country Music Association awards, and seven Academy of Country Music awards before Naomi retired in 1991 due to health reasons.
Wynonna launched her solo career in 1992 with a self-titled debut album that went quadruple platinum and produced three No. 1 singles: ‘She Is His Only Need,’ ‘I Saw the Light,’ and ‘No One Else on Earth.’ Over the years, she has released nine studio albums, including Wynonna & the Big Noise (2016) and Recollections (2020), blending country, blues, gospel, and rock influences.
Beyond music, Wynonna is a philanthropist and advocate, supporting causes like Habitat for Humanity and YouthAIDS. She remains an active figure in the country music scene through her touring, recording, and charitable work.
