Marty Stuart is an American country and bluegrass musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a career spanning five decades. He emerged in the country music scene as a teenager playing in Lester Flatt’s bluegrass band before joining Johnny Cash’s backing band in the late 1970s.
By the 1980s and ’90s, Stuart launched a successful solo career with hits like ‘Tempted’, ‘Hillbilly Rock’, and ‘The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ (a duet with Travis Tritt).
