About Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2001 in Montreal by husband-and-wife duo Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, alongside an ever-evolving lineup including Win's younger brother Will Butler (a multi-instrumentalist who departed the band in 2021), Richard Reed Parry (guitar, keyboards), Tim Kingsbury (bass, guitar), and Jeremy Gara (drums).

Known for their grand, anthemic sound and emotionally charged performances, the band shot to international fame with their debut album ‘Funeral’ (2004), which was praised for its blend of rock and orchestral elements. Their follow-up albums, including Neon Bible (2007) and the Grammy-winning ‘The Suburbs’ (2010), established their reputation as one of the most influential bands of the noughties. Singles like ‘Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)’, ‘Rebellion (Lies)’, and ‘Wake Up’ became solid anthems of the music scene.

In addition to their studio work, Arcade Fire are also well-known for their powerful live performances, often involving elaborate stage setups, costumes, and audience interaction. The band has headlined major festivals such as Lollapalooza in 2010, Coachella in 2011, and Glastonbury in 2014.

Arcade Fire continues to evolve with each album, boosting their critical and commercial success and pushing the creative boundaries in contemporary music.
